Program Details:
- Duration: Two Months, June through July
- Flexibility: We understand students may have scheduled vacations and conflicts; we’re happy to work with you on your schedule.
- Location: Dumbaugh Insurance, 122 S Main St, Mt Vernon, OH 43050
- Standard Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday
- Eligibility: High school students aged 16 or older
- Number of Internship Opportunities: One to Two
- Pay: $12 an hour
What to Expect:
Our internship program provides an introduction to the dynamic world of insurance. While the experience may not always be glamorous, you’ll gain a realistic glimpse into the day-to-day operations of an independent insurance operation. Expect to work closely with our experienced team, gaining practical skills and insights into the insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
As an intern at Dumbaugh Insurance, you will:
- Learn about insurance products and services
- Assist with administrative tasks (everyone tells you what to do!)
- Participate in team meetings (act interested!)
- Gain valuable exposure to customer interactions (learn how to use a land line!)
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with our team (learn how to talk to people!)
- Adhere to scheduled hours and arrive on time (be on time!)
- Work on “Special Projects” (grunt work!)
Requirements:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Maintain a positive attitude
